There is an immediate need for volunteers for the positions of President and Secretary on the Board. Our Board operations are running very well, but Board replacements are needed within the next few months.
Having a volunteer Board has saved an estimated $30,000 in annual expenses and saved individual homeowners $170/lot in annual fees. Without volunteers we will have to work with an outside management company, which would result in raising total annual due to over $700/lot.

The annual Deerfield Woods Homeowners Association Meeting, which is normally held in the first quarter of the year, has been postponed at this time. Please check back for updates on when it will be rescheduled.
The annual Neighborhood Garage Sale normally scheduled for the third Thursday in June has been postponed indefinitely by the Board as we navigate the health risks related to the COVID-19 virus and keep residents' personal safety and well being as the highest priorities.
The pool and playground will remain closed until further notice as the Board continues to evaluate the health risks and related liabilities surrounding the COVID-19 virus global pandemic with your safety and family wellness as our number one priority. Please check back for status updates, 2021 High Point/Deerfield Woods Sharks Swim Team announcements and other items.
The Deerfield Woods HOA Board has reviewed the current situation created by the many medical uncertainties surrounding the COVID-19 virus global pandemic with your safety and family wellness as our number one priority.
It was concluded that the best steps the association can take to protect its residents without jeopardizing their health and safety is to close the pool and the clubhouse facility all together for the 2020 season.
The health risks are extremely high, our exposure to related liabilities is predictable and it would be irresponsible if we were to open the pool facility. From an individual safety management perspective, our Board estimated our ability to effectively mitigate the potential effects of the COVID-19 virus, by the implementing of controlling social distancing around the pool, screening attendees, and adhering to strict disinfecting/cleaning schedules, etc., at the pool facility is not practical.
We appreciate your support and understanding that these are hard choices and are based on incomplete information surrounding the many medical uncertainties. The potential health risks for the highly contagious COVID-19 virus could be extreme and effective medical solutions are currently not available, i.e., no medical therapy, no immunity, and no vaccine. Because of the novel nature of the COVID-19 virus, neither scientific data nor public sentiments can properly provide the answer to our questions.
Be safe and well.
